El gigante estadounidense del retail anunci\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de 4.000 millones de pesos mexicanos para <strong>fortalecer sus operaciones en el Estado de M\u00e9xico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El anuncio se dio <strong>en el marco de la inauguraci\u00f3n de su nuevo centro de distribuci\u00f3n automatizado en Tepotzotl\u00e1n<\/strong> (Mega Park). Los fondos ir\u00e1n destinados a fortalecer la red log\u00edstica de Walmart que da servicio al canal online del retailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El contexto del anuncio tambi\u00e9n se da <strong>en la previa del pr\u00f3ximo Hot Sale<\/strong>, la jornada de descuentos online donde las empresas enfrentan unos de los mayores picos de ventas del a\u00f1o y donde la capacidad log\u00edstica se pone a prueba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEsta inversi\u00f3n abre oportunidades a nuestros asociados, emprendedores y vendedores que buscan llegar m\u00e1s lejos\u201d, asegur\u00f3 Cristian Barrientos Pozo, presidente y gerente general de Walmart M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reforzar su red log\u00edstica es una de las principales estrategias del retailer estadounidense en el mercado mexicano. En este sentido, la empresa inaugur\u00f3 la ampliaci\u00f3n de Fulfillment Center Mega Park, con una inversi\u00f3n de 400 millones de pesos y con el que podr\u00e1 <strong>cuadruplicar los pedidos procesados<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEsto va mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la tecnolog\u00eda, es una declaraci\u00f3n de hacia d\u00f3nde va Walmart en M\u00e9xico\u201d, a\u00f1adi\u00f3 el directivo en el marco de la inauguraci\u00f3n. El espacio fue originalmente inaugurado en 2020 con una inversi\u00f3n inicial de 628 millones de pesos, para ahora ser ampliado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este es el tercer <em>fulfillment<\/em> center que Walmart tiene en M\u00e9xico, junto a los ubicados en Guadalajara y Monterrey. Si bien la empresa no precis\u00f3 en qu\u00e9 inyectar\u00e1 la nueva inversi\u00f3n, los fondos ir\u00e1n destinados a su negocio en el Estado de M\u00e9xico de cara a
